Covid-19 information

Updated on 04 of June 2020

The savoie is a “green” zone

extract from the prime minister’s announcement on thursday 28 May 2020

The Prime Minister Edouard Philippe has now announced the measures regarding the second stage of coming out of lockdown. Here are the three main elements:

• travel limited to a 100-kilometre radius will come to an end from 2 June;
• also from 2 June, campsites, bars and restaurants (terraces authorized in orange zones), leisure parks, parks and gardens, and large museums can re-open in areas classified as green zones;
• border restrictions shall be maintained until 15 June;

Preventative measures maintained

During this second phase of coming out of lockdown which “will allow people to resume an almost normal lifestyle” from 2 June, the Prime Minister has indicated that preventative measures must remain in place. Thus, groups will remain limited to 10 people maximum in public areas, employers should favour remote working, and wearing a mask is still recommended in public areas. And we must “continue to protect those who are vulnerable,” he added.

The third phase of coming out of lockdown will be presented on 22 June.

“In an age where we can travel across the planet in just a few hours’ flight, it is good to remember that we can slow down, consume differently, take life gently, look around us and realize that the very things we seek at the other end of the world are sometimes here right in front of us…”
