My winter family day

Winter in Sainte-Foy is an invitation to share unforgettable family moments. Between laughter, discovery and relaxation, every member of the family will find something to enjoy in the heart of this charming alpine village. Get ready for a magical day, where winter reveals all its charm.

A morning of skiing

Often in search of thrills, we sometimes forget that as the years go by, children’s first experiences in the snow represent a precious opportunity to discover the mountain environment and learn the essential rules for skiing in complete safety.

In order to preserve the magic of these learning moments for young skiers, the Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise ski area has designed several interactive play areas, offering children a fun way to learn while having fun.

  • The adventures of Nuts and Foxy

The adventures of Nuts & Foxy offer an interactive sliding area on the “La Chapelle” blue run, where two mascots have created a series of obstacles to spice up the experience. Designed especially for children, this playful area invites little ones to follow Nuts & Foxy on skis, through various fun modules such as totems, arches, slaloms and suspended accessories, all in an original and unique setting.

  • Natur'Protect

Natur’Protect missions offer your children fun activities to raise their awareness of the mountain environment and sustainable development. They’ll have the opportunity to discover the local fauna while learning how to preserve it:

    • Glide between the fir trees on the Natur’ Renard trail: an ungroomed blue run that offers children an introduction to skiing in the great outdoors, while teaching them about the world of the fox. Before meeting the fox in a clearing, children can summon him using the bells, and then discover him in the form of a wooden sculpture made by a local craftsman.
    • At the intersection of the Chapelle and Grand Solliet slopes, near the start of the Marquise chairlift, is the “Natur’ Marmotte” area, a child- and family-friendly space. Without skis, they can discover the life of marmots while learning about nature conservation and eco-responsible behaviour. A little further on, a former milk cellar transformed into a burrow houses a wooden sculpture of sleeping marmots. The entrance is secured by a gate.
  • Snowpark

Two fun areas are on offer: a boardercross for individual or group challenges, and a freestyle area with various levels of difficulty, so that everyone, young and old, beginner or expert, can have fun!

  • Natur'Pictures Spotlights

Family vacations are nothing without photo memories! Discover the Natur’Pictures spots, with breathtaking views to immortalize on your smartphone to enrich your album. Sainte-Foy also offers a number of perfect spots for a family picnic, whether facing Mont Blanc, in the forest or in the snow, all in a safe and friendly setting.

Afternoon: multi-activities

After a great morning’s skiing with the whole family, discover the fun of snowshoeing, or try your hand at fun activities such as mountain karting, paret descents or dog sledding.
