An authentic, unspoilt village

Focusing on creating memories rather than completing a list of activities: this is the promise of the region. Far from the hustle and bustle of the big resorts that surround it, Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise has all the makings of a great place:

  • preserved Savoyard architecture ;
  • local off-piste ;
  • forests and varied terrain;
  • breathtaking views over the Haute Tarentaise valley;

These are just some of the assets that set Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise apart.

Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise is a lively, unspoilt and authentic village, where the gentle pace of life blends with untamed nature to offer a unique experience. Here, you can enjoy exceptional skiing in the heart of a protected natural setting, while taking advantage of the warm atmosphere of the chalets, where simplicity and quality services go hand in hand.

As you stroll through the resort, you immediately feel the special atmosphere that has contributed to its renown. Away from the crowds, this is a welcoming place to be: chalets made of wood, stone and lauzes are adorned with snow, fireplaces smoke and the rhythm of life is in tune with the seasons.

Staying in Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise means experiencing many different escapes in the same holiday, and creating intense memories in the process.

Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise offers unspoilt beauty and is a magnet for mountain lovers in search of adventure and freedom.

It’s an experience that goes far beyond skiing. In addition to its naturally formed slopes and breathtaking scenery, Sainte-Foy invites you to experience authentic moments. Whether enjoying a Savoyard fondue in a restaurant, exploring the wilderness on snowshoes, or discovering the valley’s unspoilt natural heritage through the forest, every moment becomes a precious memory.

Sainte-Foy-Tarentaise was once dominated by pastoral activities, but these are still firmly rooted today. Herds of tarine cows and sheep feed peacefully in the listed Clou valley, on the Sassière plateau and in the mountain pastures. In the hamlet of Monal, you can buy the famous persillé, a raw goat’s milk cheese dating back to the 18th century and made using traditional methods. A jewel in the crown of mountain architecture, Le Monal is a listed site. This hamlet is made up of 18th- and 19th-century mountain chalets that have retained their authenticity. The natural environment of stone and wood is fully reflected in the construction methods. Water, too, is abundantly present in the gouilles and streams that meander between the houses.

Sainte-Foy is also a destination on a human scale, with a warm welcome and where every detail counts. Here, the seasons are lived with passion and simplicity, respecting mountain traditions and an exceptional natural setting.

Far from the hustle and bustle of the big resorts, Sainte-Foy promises total immersion in a world of authenticity, serenity and pleasure.
