Dating from the 17th century, it was repaired in the 18th and 19th centuries.
Saint André is the patron saint of freshwater fishers, fishmongers and tailors, and is also invoked by women looking for husbands and those wanting to become mothers.
One wonders how such a reference point could have been chosen by a mountain population!
